Had a Logical Week?
2018년 05월 02일 (수) 14:37:32 GLOBE globe@jbnu.ac.kr

When you become a university student and an adult for the first time, it is quite hard to track where all your money goes. So, we thought about finding out how ordinary university students spend their money and evaluating it.

Student Profile: age 22, male, a student in the College of Engineering, currently living in dormitory, monthly income: 600,000 won.

Monday (Evaluated by Reporter B)
Receipt
<Morning>
-Soybean Milk: 700 won

<Noon>
-Chicken Mayonnaise: 3,500 won
-Coffee: 2,800 won

-PC room: 4,000 won
--------------------------------
<Total>
-15,000won
Star Score: ★★★★☆
He drank soy milk only in the morning. Then he had chicken mayonnaise and coffee and for dinner - only a sandwich. I think it is important for a student to have a healthy meal.
Total Review of the Day
Currently, students are trying to save money for their future. In total, he spent 15,000 won. If he spends this amount of money every day, he can save money.

Tuesday (Evaluated by Reporter D)
Receipt
<Morning>
-Soybean Milk: 700 won
--------------------------------
<Noon>
-Meal with Friend: 18,000 won
-Coffee: 1,800 won
--------------------------------
<Night>
-meal with Mentee from residential college: 25,200 won
---------------------------------------------------
<Total>
-45,700 won
Star Score: ★★★☆☆
It is really great to drink soybean milk as breakfast. However, if he knew that he would eat dinner with mentee, he should have taken his friends to the school restaurant or a cheap one. He spent much money in both lunch and dinner, so he needs to have plans to save money.
Total Review of the Day
His Engel's coefficient is really higher than others. So, he needs to use money to do other things. So, my advice is to buy drinks cheaply using the internet.

Wednesday (Evaluated by Reporter H)
Receipt
<Morning>
-Soybean Milk: 700 won
--------------------------------
<Noon>
-Rice Noodles: 3,900 won
-Chocolate: 5,000 won
-Coffee: 1,800 won
--------------------------------
<Night>
-Hamburger: 7,000 won
--------------------------------
<Total>
-18,400 won
Star Score: ★★★★☆
Overall, he consumed so nice. But I gave him four stars because of the chocolate. There are so many kinds of chocolates. Among them, he bought so expensive or too many chocolates. If he ate a little less or bought cheaper ones, it would have been perfect.
Total Review of the Day
Including snacks, he spent 18,400 won today. I think this is a very decent expense amount. His food selection was very good. Rice noodles and hamburger are cheap and tasty. His Wednesday was so plain and nice.

Star Score: ★★★★★
Having hamburger for dinner three days in a row does not look good. But no waste of money seems to be a good trend. The student can be rewarded for the day.

Looking over the week, Thursday was spent in the most saving-wise way.

<Night>
-Hamburger: 5,700 won
-Golf gloves: 12,500 won
--------------------------------
<Total>
-25,900 won
Star Score: ★★★★☆
From my view, he spent very well. Because I knew golf gloves were for class, it was a price that needed to be paid. But I do have a question about why he ate bread for lunch? He could eat a decent meal like Guk-bob.
Total Review of the Day
After subtracting the price of the golf gloves, he spent 13,400 won in total. I think it’s a very ideal price especially the fact that he chose the 5,000 won meal. But to be honest, he could have done more because he lives in a dormitory.

Total Review of the Day
He spent more money on PC room rather than his total of breakfast and lunch. I don’t think this is a smart way to spending money.

From breakfast until dinner, this student had only fast food, which is convenient and cheap. As it is Sunday, I guess everyone wants to ignore rules and enjoy eating what he or she really wants.
Total Review of the Day
This student focused on relaxing activities and having a rest. It doesn’t matter what you are involved in as long as you enjoy and get something out of student life.
