JBNU, a pioneer in promoting Korean housing culture through hanok exports to countries like Vietnam, Algeria, and the United States, has now set its sights on Russia. Currently engaged in over twenty hanok export projects spanning more than ten countries, including Australia, the U.S., Sydney, New Zealand, and Indonesia, JBNU continues to expand the global reach of hanok architecture. Four organizations, including JBNU, have decided to build hanok villages and introduce a Korean-style housing culture. The initiatives also include supporting Russian students interested in studying hanok architecture during their time in Korea, and importing Russian pine for use in production and for educational materials. Educational efforts are underway to develop expertise for Russian students studying hanok architecture, contributing to the sustainable globalization of hanok architecture.
