The JBNU Blood Donation Center was relocated due to the plan to rebuild the First Student Hall. Recognized as the first Blood Donation Center in the style of a traditional "Hanok", the building boasts old-fashioned Hanok architecture. Positioned near the Old Gate of JBNU, the center enjoys easy geographic accessibility to the university's commercial district. Han Eun-mi, the head nurse of the center, said that the relocated JBNU Blood Donation Center, situated near the Old Gate, will be convenient not only for JBNU students but also for residents passing by. “It is expected that the JBNU Blood Donation Center will serve as an opportunity to become a landmark representing Jeollabuk-do, along with JBNU, which was selected for the Glocal University 30,” she added.

Operating on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a lunch break from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., the JBNU Blood Donation Center is closed on weekends and public holidays. The center is equipped with five blood collection beds, three plasma machines, and one platelet machine. Han encouraged students to heighten their interest in blood donation and to actively donate. She said, “It is impossible to create blood artificially, so we need to donate blood to save patients. However, due to the decreasing birth rate and the increasingly aging population, it will become more difficult for patients to receive blood transfusions in the future.” She encouraged students to consider donating blood, emphasizing that a single visit to the JBNU Blood Donation Center can save a neighbor grappling with illnesses.
