As I reflect on my time here at JBNU, it's hard to believe that this may be my last article capturing the essence of the incredible journey I've had here. Two particular memories that stand out vividly during my time at JBNU are my first encounter with the members of The JBNU Globe, the university's vibrant English magazine, and the memorable Cultural Booth day.

Upon meeting the JBNU Globe staff, little did I know that this meeting would be the beginning of a journey filled with friendship, cultural exchange, and breathtaking moments. Upon joining The JBNU Globe, I was warmly welcomed by a group of remarkable individuals who, from the outset, embraced me as if we had been friends for years. The diversity among the members was striking – each student pursuing a different major, yet united by a common passion for sharing stories and experiences. Their intellect was palpable, creating an inspiring environment that fueled my curiosity about the world around me.

During our introductory session, we took turns introducing ourselves. It was fascinating to learn about the diverse backgrounds and interests that brought us together. From engineering to literature, the spectrum of majors represented in the group reflected the richness of JBNU's academic community. As we shared our aspirations and dreams, it became clear that The JBNU Globe was not just a magazine; it was a close-knit community driven by a shared commitment to understand and celebrate diversity.

The camaraderie among us deepened as we decided to capture the moment with a group photo. Smiles, laughter, and a sense of unity permeated the frame, encapsulating the spirit of The JBNU Globe. This photograph would later become a cherished memento, symbolizing the bonds forged during that initial meeting.

Fast forward to one of the most memorable events of my university career – the Cultural Booth organized in collaboration with Kotural, the international students' club, during a university festival. This booth day was a kaleidoscope of traditions, flavors, and games from around the world, bringing the global essence of JBNU to life.

The highlight of the event was the diverse array of traditional dishes meticulously prepared from countries such as Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Mongolia, Russia, and Vietnam. The tantalizing aromas wafting through the air beckoned festival-goers to embark on a culinary journey, savoring the authenticity of each dish.

However, it wasn't just about the food; it was about creating an immersive experience. Our booth featured interactive games designed to engage and educate visitors about different cultures. The flag game challenged participants to identify countries by finding their respective flags among a sea of differing flags. It was a fun yet educational activity that sparked curiosity about global geography.

The language expert game tested participants' linguistic acumen. Listening to audio clips in various languages, players eagerly guessed the origin, fostering an appreciation for the linguistic diversity that enriches our world. The quiz and tongue twister games added an extra element of excitement, with participants eagerly competing for prizes and, more importantly, expanding their cultural knowledge.

The response from the festival-goers was overwhelming. People were not only captivated by the mouthwatering dishes but also intrigued by the opportunity to learn about distinct cultures through engaging activities. The genuine interest and enthusiasm expressed by attendees reinforced the importance of cultural exchange in fostering understanding and unity.

As the day concluded, and our booth wrapped up its activities, I couldn't help but feel a profound sense of fulfillment. The cultural booth had not only provided a platform to showcase the beauty of diversity but had also created an environment where individuals could connect, learn, and appreciate the richness of cultures beyond their own.

In essence, my journey at JBNU has been a tapestry woven with threads of friendship, intellectual growth, and cultural exploration. The experiences with The JBNU Globe and the Cultural Booth stand out as testaments to the university's commitment to nurturing a global community where differences are celebrated, and connections are forged. As I bid farewell to this chapter of my life, I carry with me not just memories but a deep appreciation for the diverse tapestry that defines JBNU.
