Lee Yeon-a and Jang Se-eun, who are participating in the BK21 FOUR Environmental Education and Research Center program for Glocal Resources Circulation at JBNU, earned the KESS (Korean Society of Environmental Engineers) Paper Award for their excellent research results respectively. Lee Yeon-a was acknowledged for her exceptional research in smart management techniques for low-temperature plasma processes, based on TOC (Total Organic Carbon) prediction using machine learning models. Jang Se-eun received positive acclaim for her research on the carbon stability and carbon sequestration effects of livestock manure and the biochar derived from livestock manure. Jang conducted research to quantitatively predict the carbon sequestration effect, considering the creation and weathering of biochar. Lee said, “I am delighted to have been recognized for my research achievements through the BK21 FOUR project. I am grateful to my advisor and lab colleagues, and I am committed to achieving further success through this project.”
