Graduate students An Mi-rae and Jeong Seul-gi from the College of Nursing were awarded the Young Investigator Award at the 2023 Annual Conference of the KSLM(Korean Society of Lifestyle Medicine). They were recognized for their outstanding research presentation on the topic “A Comparative Study of Depression, Suicidal Ideation and Quality of Life in Korean Women between One-person and Multi-person Households”. This study revealed that the quality of life for single-person households of adult women is lower compared to multi-person households of adult women. The study also identified that there are more vulnerable factors in terms of sociodemographic characteristics and health behaviors among women in one-person households. The significance of this research lies in its use of big data analysis from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, indicating that the collected data represents the characteristics of Korean adult women living in one-person households. The multidimensional analysis of the results also adds value to the study’s evaluation.
