Professor Jang Hyun-min in the Department of Environmental Engineering announced that the Disaster Safety Drone Association signed an agreement with JBNU on September 20th. This agreement was pushed to protect the ecosystem of national rivers and national parks in Jeollabuk-do and prevent major disaster by building up an environmental pollution monitoring system near the city. The two organizations plan to raise professionals of drone operations who are necessary for activities of disaster safety in the region. They also will build up a cooperation system for environmental education and the project related to mid to long term development of JBNU. Jang said “Recently, drones have been used very useful in the environment field.” He also expects that drones will play an important role in preventing pollution.
