JBNU has received high praise for its goals and plans to reorganize the studentcentered academic system, such as expanding students' major choices. The National University Development Project is operated by the Ministry of Education and NRF (National Research Foundation of Korea) to establish national universities as central hubs for balanced regional development and to provide financial support for autonomous innovation in national universities. JBNU aims to target global competitiveness, leading regional industry, the economy, and culture through cooperation between regions and universities. Through this project, JBNU is expected to nurture creative talents with core competencies through student-centered education support system innovation, laying the foundation for making a leap into the ranks of the Global Top 100 universities.
