JBNU Health Service Center operates health services for students and university staff.

There is a free health clinic that all JBNU students and staff can use. JBNU Health Service Center provides various services for health promotion and disease prevention. Services such as general and dental treatment, tuberculosis tests, body composition tests, blood tests, health screening for freshmen, and physical therapy are provided. Most of the services are free, except for the tuberculosis and blood tests. Regardless of nationality, all JBNU students and staff can use the service.

According to Song Ji-hyeon, the head of the center, the average number of visitors is about ninety cases during the semester and about thirty during vacation. Patients usually visit the center with symptoms such as colds and indigestion. Song added, “There are many patients who come for disinfection due to injuries. The number of patients is especially increasing because of injuries caused by electric scooter accidents.”

Since it is important to detect and treat diseases early in order to improve students’ health, JBNU Health Service Center is planning to expand its business related to health screening. The plan includes free medical checkups twice a year and temporary free blood tests. Except for dental treatment and body composition tests, all other medical treatments are available without reservation. Dental treatments can be booked through phone calls and inperson visits, and body composition tests can be booked through Oasis, the website of the academic management system.
