Kim Hyun-kyung, the director of IEI (Institute for Education Innovation), received the 2023 Educational Progress Award at the KCS (Korean Chemical Society) annual conference. At the 131st KCS General Meeting, she was awarded the Educational Progress Award thanks to her contribution to chemistry education. She published approximately 63 excellent research papers on the subject. She also contributed to the development of chemistry education by participating in major national projects. Yang O-bong, the president of JBNU, expressed to her, “congratulations and thank you for your hard work to develop schools and chemical education while performing your duties.” Kim said, “with this award, I will strive for the development of education in other regions, universities, and all of Korea.”
