Cho Ho-seong, a professor of the College of Veterinary Medicine at JBNU, has been appointed as a civilian member of the PACST (Presidential Advisory Council on Science & Technology). The PACST is a presidential advisory body in the science and technology sector. It consists of an advisory function that performs the presidential advisory and a deliberation function that deliberates policies and budgets. Professor Cho will be responsible for reviewing scientific technology and R&D-related issues to be presented to deliberation meetings. He has been a professor at JBNU since 2010 and received the Prime Minister’s commendation for his contribution to preventing diseases of domestic animals in 2020. “As a veterinarian and researcher in the field of life and medicine, I will play a role in developing science and technology policies for the present and future based on my research and educational experiences,” Cho said.
