Last year, I found a movie which was related to education. One day, my father recommended for me to see 'Three Idiots'. It was an Indian film that was not familiar to me. The first time I ever saw the movie, I was shattered by some feelings.

The background of this movie was India, which has excessive competition for university entrance tests like Korea does. In the first part of this movie, a friend of the hero, named Lancho, hanged himself because of conflicts between the principal's goal and student's goal. People thought that the student's death was suicide, but I thought an immediate cause was mental stress. 'I Quit', the will of the student, meant 'I want to be on my way'. Frankly speaking, he wants to lay down the burden from a world where interest and aptitude are ignored and the name of work is recognized as the significant thing.

Most students study and shape their course against their wills. I wonder if they are happy. Nowadays in our society, parents attempt to offer individualized instruction, resulting in competition, and children strive to concentrate on their studies due to parents' greed. So for example, when I got up in the morning during my high school years, I was unhappy and exhausted. The only memories were unchangeable daily life and the fierce struggle for improvement. I entered college not determining my way, but mingling in the crowd. In short, I got an unsatisfactory result in the college entrance exams because I didn't have a realistic goal and I was not studying, just pretending to study. In this connection, the most impressive scene in the movie was that the hero blamed his father, who wanted him to be an engineer without understanding his real dream. As with his father, all parents want their children to have jobs for their stable future. But this is disregarding the factor of happiness. Happiness gives us a real sense of fun, like an energy. When I am pretty happy with what I am doing, not only can I feel a sense of accomplishment, but people around me can experience a keen pleasure. In short, the end of the route through education is bliss. As we know from the movie, although Lancho lives another's life, he always gets a top score. People study to get high grades, but Lancho considers learning as a goal in itself. What did you learn about this scene? When I strongly desire to do something, I get the best result.

I think it is important that you set a goal for yourself. Parents play the role of the helpers who make children realize what they want, instead of providing a set way. As we can see from the movie’s last scene, the hero who chooses his favorite field becomes the best. Interest and a true mind like an engine are the most important factors in human life.
