CBNU and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health are going to conduct joint research regarding energy resource development and mining safety. For this, CBNU President Lee Nam-ho, NIOSH-Spokane Research Laboratory (NIOSH-SRL), institutions and departments within the College of Engineering shared opinions about implementing written agreements in the future. Within this agreement, both institutions will conduct a joint research on mining safety by utilizing necessary methods and processing information, then will apply the acquired research outcomes in real practice. This is to be completed by December 30, 2022. NIOSH-SRL, the institution for this agreement, is a federal government institution at the National Institutes for Occupational Safety and Health. This institution has conducted research about lighting, safety, environment on metal and base metal mine.
